Scott Schmitt, Promoted to Vice President of Operations

Scott Schmitt, VP of Operations for JX

If you’ve been a customer of ours for a while, there’s a good chance you’ve crossed paths with Scott. He joined us nearly 12 years ago—back in July 2014—and has quite literally grown alongside our company.

Scott started on the ground floor as the Assistant Parts Manager, advancing to Parts Manager, then Operations Manager at our Wadsworth dealership. His knack for keeping things running smoothly quickly took him into regional operations, where he took over management of all our Chicagoland locations. Most recently, he served as our Regional Vice President of Chicagoland. That hands-on journey through our company is exactly what set him up to excel in his new role: Vice President of Operations.

What this means for our customers
Because Scott started at a single dealership and worked his way up, he understands our business—and your needs as a customer—inside and out. In this new role, he will be overseeing operations across the entire organization, bringing his focus on high standards, efficiency, and strong local leadership to our broader corporate strategy.

For our Chicagoland partners
We know consistency is everything. To make sure we don’t miss a beat, Scott will remain closely tied to the Chicagoland region over the next few weeks. He is working hand-in-hand with the local team to transition his day-to-day responsibilities so your service remains seamless.

We are incredibly grateful for everything Scott built in Wadsworth and Chicago, and we are excited to see him drive our operations forward on a company-wide scale. Please join us in congratulating Scott on this well-deserved promotion!
