The new Hino XL8 Series is a heavy-duty Class 8 commercial truck engineered for heavy vocational operations, tandem-axle regional hauling, construction support, and severe-duty applications. Built on a high-strength steel frame chassis with a durable, fully galvanized steel cab, the XL8 Series features an aggressive front grille, bold hood styling, an expansive windshield for high visibility, and exceptional maneuverability on busy job sites and highways.
Powered by the heavy-duty Cummins L9 engine producing up to 360 HP and 1,150 lb.-ft. of torque, the Hino XL8 Series pairs with Allison 3000 or 4000 Series 6-speed automatic transmissions for smooth shifting and maximum torque transfer. Featuring heavy Class 8 GVWR ratings from 33,000 to 60,000 lbs. (and GCWR ratings up to 66,000 lbs. for tractor setups), it handles severe-duty configurations including tandem dump bodies, roll-offs, heavy utility beds, and regional haulers.
